For all courses, every participant will receive a digital certificate of completion. If you prefer, you can also request a printed certificate to be delivered to your address.

As this is an advanced UX design course aimed at facilitating participants’ successful transition into the UX industry, it incorporates real client projects to apply their technical skills.

Those interested in enrolling in the User Experience (UX) Career Accelerator should:

• Have completed a basic UX design course before. However, participants do get complimentary access to our UX Design Course (2 days) to fufill this requirement.
• Have fundamental knowledge of UX design.
• Be able to dedicate 12–20 hours per week to course activities.

Yes. The course is fully-redeemable via SkillsFuture credits.

All Singaporeans aged 25 years old and above can claim their SkillsFuture Credits to fund the course fees.
Do note that upon course registration, you must inform your CuriousCore that you intend to use your SkillsFuture credits for the course fee, either partially or in full.

Subsequently, you should proceed to submit your claim via MySkillsFuture within 60 days before the course start date (inclusive).

Daylon previously served as Razer’s Global eCommerce Architect for the online shopping experience. As part of a dedicated team, he focused on driving global direct eCommerce sales by leading design initiatives that optimised Average Order Value (AOV) and Lifetime Value (LTV), successfully increasing site visits to sales conversions and reduced churn for millions of monthly site visitors and shoppers on Razer.com. In addition, he led a team of Marketing & Merchandising Specialists and a UX Designer.

Daylon was also part of the Digital Product Design team of Aviva Digital Garage working as a SCRUM Product Owner. The team develops and test new insurance ideas and services which make financial services more tailored and accessible for customers globally. Daylon doubled up as the team’s design sprint facilitator and user research lead, effectively synthesising data into actionable insights for product designers.

Yes. The User Experience Career Accelerator, WSQ Courses and Short Courses are conducted live online through Zoom. 

Lessons are also mostly scheduled in the evenings on weekdays and on weekends, accommodating participants who work full-time positions.

All sessions will be recorded and accompanied by notes for participants who happen to miss any sessions.

Daylon currently consults and trains enterprises as well as mentors startups via WeWork Labs on UX Design and Product Management. These enterprises include Prudential and Hewlett Packard (HP).

He also teaches at renowned education institutes as an adjunct faculty member in Singapore and Malaysia, such as Republic Polytechnic (RP), Singapore Management University (SMU), and Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). Daylon has also taught part-time at General Assembly since 2015 (Average Student Net Promoter Score: >80) on UX Design and Digital Marketing.

Daylon is an Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® & PRINCE2® Certified Practitioner in Project Management.

Each of our course types varies based on the participants’ objectives. 

Our part-time courses emphasise a practice-based curriculum, aimed at reskilling participants and facilitating career conversion into a relevant field. These courses typically require a longer commitment over an extended period of time. Due to the practical nature of the course, subsidies are limited, but post-course support is extensive. 

Our short intensive courses focus on exposing participants to the key fundamentals of the subject, helping them upskill in a specific area. These courses typically span 1-2 days only, making them suitable for busy professionals looking to advance their skills. 

Lastly, our WSQ courses cover the theoretical aspects of the subject and are accredited under the Workforce Skills Qualification. These courses are made affordable with government subsidies and are suitable for organisations seeking to upskill their teams.

Most of the participants in our User Experience Career Accelerator range in age from mid-20s to early 40s. They come from diverse backgrounds, including banking, architecture, and design, with approximately half having a design background.

Overall, a commitment of 12-20 hours per week is required. 

Classroom contact time will be 3 to 4 hours per week, on fixed dates for participants to join the online lessons. 

Project time will require 8-16 hours per week. This time is self-directed and depends on your team’s planning.

Designed to accommodate the schedules of working participants, all lessons in this course will be conducted online. Despite the online format, participants will still experience an immersive classroom environment, engaging in collaborative activities with fellow members and interacting with instructors in real-time. 

Expect a rich learning experience with a variety of group work, open discussions, hands-on practice through in-class activities, and peer-to-peer evaluation. 

You will have the opportunity to work in teams and collaborate with real clients from around the world, applying the UX methodologies you have learned in our lessons to solve their business challenges. Throughout these projects, each team will receive close mentorship and guidance to ensure their success.

A post-graduation ceremony and dinner will be organised for you to meet your coursemates in person.

You can expect comprehensive career support and guidance during the course. We place a strong emphasis on assisting our graduates in successfully transitioning into the UX design field upon graduation. Our support includes:

We continue to provide career support for up to 3 months after graduation to ensure your smooth transition into the industry.

To enhance your portfolio and experience in UX design, you’ll work on three different month-long projects, matched with a real client each time. Your task will be to develop a UX solution to address their specific business problems, such as designing an app or website.

Here’s how it works:

• You will work in a team with 2-4 classmates.
• Each team will select a non-profit organization or small to medium-sized enterprise from a list of options, including companies like AirAsia. 

During the project, you will apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the course to:

• Conduct user interviews to gather research insights
• Utilize Miro for affinity mapping
• Create and utilize customer personas
• Design your own core value loop
• Sketch wireframes for your solution
• Prototype using tools like InVision and Adobe XD. Conduct user testing on your prototype
• Utilize various tech stacks such as Figma, Optimal Workshop, A/B Tasty, and HotJar

These real-client projects will provide you with valuable hands-on experience and aims to help you build a robust portfolio that showcases your UX skills.

By the end of the course, you should have the relevant UX knowledge, technical skills and portfolio to transition into a UX-related role.

You will complete the course with comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end UX process, essential soft skills for a UX designer, and, most importantly, practical application of your skills to solve real business problems.

After graduation, you will have a range of options to choose from:

• Pursue a career in a UX-related role (e.g., UX researcher, UX designer)
• Work as a freelancer in the UX field (e.g., UX consultant, UX designer)
• Transition to a UX-related role within your current field or company
